Turnkey FOCL and GPON construction

We build backbone and distribution fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) and GPON networks across Kazakhstan: mechanized columns lay up to 1 700 km of cable a month to a depth of 120 cm. A full ten-stage cycle - from route survey to handover to the client.

From intercity backbones to subscriber connections - one contractor for the entire line.

Backbone FOCL

Intercity lines in the ground, laid by mechanized columns

Distribution and urban networks

Feeder and distribution networks, communication nodes

GPON networks

Subscriber connections in residential areas - Urker, Zhetigen

Obstacle crossings

Subcontracted section

A separate section or type of work for a general contractor

Stages

Ten turnkey stages

A single contractor performs the full cycle - without handing work between subcontractors.

  1. Route survey

Soils, obstacles and access roads along the full length of the line

  2. Design

    Route, crossings and work schedule

  3. Mobilization

Columns and equipment to site by own tractor units

  4. Staking

Route staking before the column passes

  5. Earthworks

Trenches and pits, including for HDD

  6. HDD and pipe jacking

Crossings under rivers, roads and the railway bed

  7. Cable laying

Mechanized, to a depth of 120 cm

  8. Splicing and measurements

Fiber splicing and measurements on the route

  9. As-built documentation

Preparation and handover to the client

  10. Handover to the client

    Acceptance of the completed line

Equipment

Equipment and output

Columns lay the cable, crane trucks deliver the drums, tractor units mobilize the equipment - all from the own fleet.

Questions and answers

The essentials in brief

How long does backbone FOCL construction take?

Depends on route length and soil categories. Reference fact: 942 km of backbone in the ground were built in five months - August - December 2025, across eight sections of two directions.

What stages does turnkey FOCL construction include?

Ten stages: route survey, design, mobilization, staking, earthworks, HDD/pipe jacking, cable laying, splicing and measurements, as-built documentation, handover to the client.

What license is required for FOCL construction in Kazakhstan?

A construction and installation license with the relevant permit is required. The company holds a Category II construction license with a permit for nationwide and international communication lines; first issued 12.10.1999, the current license is published on the site.

Do you build urban GPON networks, not only backbones?

Yes. GPON networks have been built in the Urker residential area (about 100 km, coverage of up to 4 485 subscribers) and in Zhetigen - now Alatau (106,6 km, 5 130 households).

Can I order mechanized laying only?

Yes. A cable-laying column with its crew can be engaged for a separate section of the route - details on the Mechanized cable laying page.
